Doubting Yourself

Doubting Yourself

Don’t doubt yourself; doubt the people and institutions that wanted you to censor everything you stand for so they could own your life.

The ownership of your life is a privilege that is totally yours. Self-doubt makes you a stranger to yourself. You become afraid to express your own inclinations, your own dreams, your true emotions and your deepest insights. You step away from the radical ideas and the many manifestations of your uniqueness because you hope they will buy your approval.

After years of self-doubting, love doesn’t come and the love you share is not believable. It is true that there is a risk when you stand up for yourself rather than doubt yourself, but the benefits far exceed those risks. You know all too well what it feels like to doubt yourself. Life becomes a burden and people become a trap. You no longer enjoy the privilege of being alive and belonging to yourself.

Self-doubt can be reversed by you when you censor the people and institutions that thought they were wiser than you.

Doubting people and institutions keeps you in charge of who you are and what you internalize. Use your marvelous-self to protect your inner sanctuary. Let no one compromise the miracle of who you were meant to be.

Do you live under the gloom of original sin or the excited anticipation of self-discovery? Original Sin is a religious term that refers to Adam and Eve disobeying God by eating fruit from the Tree of Good and Evil when they were told not to. According to religious mythology, humanity became permanently flawed and in need of redemption. The Garden of Eden story is carried in our DNA. We say disparaging things about ourselves: Oh, what do you expect from me? I'm only human. I'm just a sinner like everyone else! Evil exists wherever people put their feet. You need Jesus to make you holy! The premise behind most religions is helping followers overcome their flawed nature!

Self-opinion is the most important opinion, because it generates feelings and beliefs about who we are. From within our world is created. In psychology we call this phenomenology. You see the world not as it is, but how you are!

If you feel flawed, shame will block your self-appreciation.
If you feel fat, you hide from self-respect.
If you feel guilty, you won't assert your rights.
If you believe you're stupid, you won't stand by your opinions.
If you feel unworthy, you won't follow your dreams.
Anxiety about feeling flawed will obstruct your peace.

We know from an abundance of research that our self opinion is at the core of mental health. Without your awareness, your body combats the stress of negativity every moment you live. We are told that Deity will correct our flawed nature,
but, truth is, only you can restore your self-perception.

Born This Way by Lady Gaga gives us a way to enjoy the fruits of life.

My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars

"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say"

I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes

Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set.
