Acceptance
Love gives us many rewards, the greatest of which is acceptance.
Acceptance is often the difference between emotional turmoil and emotional peace. It does not mean that we condone or justify unhealthy behaviors or unfortunate events; it simply means we have walked the road of reconciliation and found a way to integrate what we thought was unimaginable and what we dreaded most.
In this way, acceptance challenges us to broaden the scope of our maturity to include all human possibilities. It challenges us to survive and even flourish in the face of turmoil. Acceptance cannot be an expectation from others; it must be gifted to ourselves primarily and shared with others secondarily. No one has the right to your acceptance; they must wait until you can give it.
Acceptance will not be rushed, pushed or owned by anyone but you. It is your gift to yourself. Acceptance maintains a loving environment in your soul. It is evidence of your resilience, your patience and your deep wisdom.
Acceptance is your victory over pain and loss, and the pathway to your tranquility.
