Talk to Your Children

Do your children know who you are?

Do you tell them stories of your girlhood?

Did you tell them how many trees you climbed, hobbies you had and how far you rode your bike?

Do they know about your first kiss or how surprised you were when your menstrual cycle began?

They would love to know what school was like and how you felt on your first date.

When you are tired of being a mother, rest! When you think no one appreciates you, talk!

When you have screamed in frustration, apologize! When you disagree with their father, argue!

When household responsibilities become overwhelming, ask for help!

Teach your children that there is so much they can do for themselves. They will become strong, develop a healthy independence, and you will be happier.

Your children are always ready for love and willing to forgive your humanness. Dare to be human enough to create a bond with your children that will take all of you into eternity.
